| Captivating Classics
is a unique program performed by Kathy Pyeatt and Marvin Murphree that includes
popular songs, arias, and duets from the world of opera and musical theatre. Your audience will be captivated by
the intensity, humor, and passion of their vocal talent as they present music that is well known and loved in this
fresh exciting concert. You will be treated to such all time opera favorites as Rossini's "Largo al factotum"
which is popularly known as the Bugs Bunny aria, Musetta's saucy Waltz aria from La
Boheme, and the dastardly Don's duet "La ci darem la mano"
from Don Giovanni.
As well as beloved favorites from the golden era of Broadway such as, "I could have Danced all Night"
from My Fair Lady,
"Grand Night for Singing" from Statefair and "To Dream the Impossible Dream" from The
Man from La Mancha and contempory hits from Les
Miserables, Phantom
of the Opera and Into
the Woods. Captivating Classics is designed to entertain a wide variety of musical tastes from those with a casual interest in music to the most discriminating connoisseur of the arts. Piano accompaniment makes this program especially adaptable to any size venue. Because of their interest in educating young audiences, Pyeatt and Murphree would be happy to present a short program in area schools for a nominal fee.
